Name: Mika Nagaosa
Country: Japan
Major:Business Administration
Mika joined the ranks of the ISC in 2017 and quickly became a recognizable staple within the ISC office as a student worker. Working at the ISC has allowed her to quickly make friends, learn about our campus, and help other students do the same.
She plans to leave us for University of California (UC) next year to continue her studies in Business, but says she will miss the cozy and welcoming environment of Citrus College. However, she is glad for Citrus College, the guidance she received here, and our partnerships with UC and California State schools to ensure her future success.
Thank you for your service to the ISC! You will be missed next year.
This month we took a trip to the Westfield Santa Anita Mall. Later this month, we will also go to Citadel Outlets to satisfy all our shopping needs. Stay tuned for upcoming events next month as the ISC will be hosting a World Cup event!
Don’t forget to join our exciting new program “Experience Summer at Citrus College” this August. The program includes an English class and trips to The Getty Museum, a Hollywood tour, and ends with a day at Bolsa Chica Beach. Sign-up up at isc.citruscollege.edu now!
Every June we welcome the arrival of our NIC International College in Japan students. The NIC and Citrus College have been long-time partners dedicated to introducing Japanese students to American culture and education. The NIC has over 30 years of tradition in making overseas study for Japanese students a dream come true. They have proudly assisted over 8,500 student study abroad since their inception. Hundreds of NIC students have made the journey to Citrus College in our 12-year relationship. We are excited to welcome our new NIC students for the coming school year.
Every June graduating students part ways with Citrus College in the commencement ceremony held in the Citrus College Stadium. This year, we celebrated our 102nd ceremony and sadly said goodbye to eighty five graduating international students. For those with another year left with us, we wish you a summer full of excitement and adventure. For those who plan to remain in the classroom during the sweltering summer months, the summer session kicks off on June 25.
