March Spotlight 2020

Name: Yosapat Kutpun (Nine)
Country: Thailand
Major: Math

Nine came to Citrus College in Fall 2018 to pursue a degree in Math. Citrus College stuck out among the crowd of institutions for its affordability and reputation for outstanding programs and strong transfer rates to great schools, which works well for his plans to complete his associate degree and transfer out to UCLA. When asked what he thinks of Citrus College, Nine responded, “I really like it here. I have a lots of wonderful friends and I think Citrus College is a great place to transition into UCLA.”

Nine also mentioned his appreciation of the ISC and its free events, which are often catered with fantastic food. When he isn’t hanging out in the ISC, he likes to spend his time in the library with its quiet and peaceful study environment.

Nine is an excellent member of the ISC community and we are happy to have him at Citrus College.

ISC Activities

Spring is officially here and the ISC has a lot to look forward to. The weather is getting warmer and, as a result, the ISC has some outdoor activities planned for you this March. On Friday, March 20, we will go to Sturtevant Falls and have lunch under a scenic waterfall. Sign up on the ISC portal today!

For those who are not yet registered in 12 units, late add petitions for non-late start classes began March 1st. Add codes no longer work alone. Please visit us in the ISC for assistance if you require any late add petitions. Keep up with these events and more with the Citrus College Mobile App. Download it on either the Google Play Store or Apply App Store today.

CSUSB & CSUN Come to the ISC

We have two California State Universities (CSU) coming to the ISC this month. Both CSU San Bernardino (CSUSB) and CSU Northridge (CSUN) will be in the ISC lounge to answer any questions ISC students may have. CSUSB will be here Tuesday, March 3, from 11am-1pm. CSUN will be here March 5, 16 and April 7 10am-2:30pm. Walk-ins are welcome. You may also contact the ISC and make an appointment to meet with the CSUN representative. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn about the advantages of these two excellent institutions.

Graduating this June?

2020 marks the 104th year that Citrus College’s hard working students reach their goals by walking across that stage to receive their well-earned degree or certificate. It may seem like a long way off, but commencement will be here before you know it. Remember that if you want to graduate, you must apply for graduation. You can find the application by searching “graduation” on my.citruscollege.edu and you must turn in the completed application to Admissions and Records by April 10. Any later and you will not be participating in commencement this June. If you think you’re ready to graduate, but have questions or are not sure, please schedule an appointment with the ISC counselor.
