Jiajie came to Citrus from Guyana, but has lived between both Guyana and China. He found Citrus while researching colleges in California. “It was the first one that showed up on Google.” Jiajie didn’t choose Citrus only because it was the number one search item on Google, but because of its transfer rate to top UC schools, cozy environment, and the quick response time of the ISC. After arrival at Citrus, Jiajie noted the ISC lounge as his favorite spot to hang out and the counseling department for their excellent guidance. Jiajie is currently applying for the honors program to increase his chances of transferring to UCLA.

Summer is here and the ISC has so much to share with you over these exciting months. We kicked off summer with a visit to the University of La Verne (ULV) to introduce students to our new housing partnership with ULV and to explore their campus in early June. Then the ISC held its annual graduation karaoke party, which was well attended! Congrats Grads! This month, we have the ISC Pool Party. So, make sure you’ve got your swimming clothes and sunglasses as we hang out poolside this July. In August, we have the ISC Beach Party, the largest ISC event of the year to say goodbye to summer and celebrate the beginning of a new year. Transportation is limited. Make sure you sign up early! It’s going to be a wonderful summer of free events with the ISC!
Commencement 2024
Last month, we celebrated a remarkable group: our Citrus College 2024 graduates! The 2024 graduating class demonstrated perseverance, resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence while attending Citrus College and the impressive transfer records show it! Their achievements inspire us all. We are incredibly proud of the scholars, athletes, artists, and innovators they have become. Congratulations, Class of 2024! May your journey ahead be filled with purpose and success.
ISC Summer Hours
Get ready for Summer Hours! We’re excited to announce extended summer hours on Monday - Thursday to give you more time during the day to access our office during the summer. We are now open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., allowing you to tackle your needs with us even later in the day. With this change in hours, we are also closed on Fridays while these hours are in effect. We’ll be back to our regular schedule on August 19th.
