February 2024
Name: Sani Tuala
Country: Australia
Major: Economics
Sani has been with Citrus College since the summer of 2023. He is a student athlete playing as a defensive end on the Owls Football team. In an amazing turn of events, after only one season at Citrus, he has been recruited by BYU to continue his football career in Utah. BYU is a Big 12 school and it is a huge accomplishment for any player to be recruited onto one of these teams. When asked about Citrus College, Sani said, “Citrus has been an amazing experience. The staff and coaches were always welcoming and I built great relationships with them. Citrus will always be meaningful for me.”
We are proud to have ISC students, such as Sani, at Citrus College.

Year of the Dragon Begins!
2024 rings in the year of the Wood Dragon. Wood represents growth, creativity, flexibility, and compassion. It embodies the energy of new beginnings, expansion, and building something from the ground up while the Dragon is a mythical creature symbolizing power, strength, ambition, nobility, and good fortune. They’re considered visionary leaders with remarkable intelligence and charisma. The Wood Dragon signifies a time of immense potential for growth and innovation. It’s a year to embrace new ideas, pursue your passions, and make strides towards your goals. Join us in the ISC Lounge and enjoy snacks and Mahjong to celebrate the Lunar New Year, February 5-9.
ISC Nature Walk!
The ISC Nature Walk is back! Next month we will venture out to a picturesque canyon that ends at Millard Falls where we will enjoy lunch by the waterfall. The trail is easy going with a few water crossings and slight elevation increase as we traverse the canyon. Transportation will be provided. Seats are limited. Sign up as soon as the sign-up page is available on the ISC Portal. If you decide to provide your own transportation, keep in mind that an LA National Forest parking pass is required to park in the parking lot for the canyon. Day passes are $5 at 7-Eleven.
