Choosing Citrus College

Outstanding Transfer Opportunities
Our transfer agreements with the University of California system, the California State University system, and many private colleges and universities in the United States make it easy for international students to gain admission to the school of their choice and complete the final two years of their baccalaureate degree.

Low Tuition Cost
The international tuition fee is less than half the tuition fee that students pay at most four-year public and private schools.

Small Class Size
The staff-to-student ratio is 1 to 27, offering students ample opportunity to meet with professors and to ask questions in class.

Friendly Support Staff
Citrus College is committed to helping you have a positive academic experience. The staff in the International Student Center is here to help you with all of your questions and needs. Counselors and advisors are available to help you plan your transfer program, and the Transfer Center counselors can assist you in choosing and applying to the university that is right for you.

Great Facilities and Technology
Citrus College constantly updates and improves its facilities to provide its students with the most advanced education possible.

Founded in 1915, Citrus College is the oldest community college in Los Angeles County and the fifth oldest in California. The college is an award-winning, top transfer institution recognized for its high level of education and global focus. Citrus College has consistently ranked as top destination for international students in the IEE Open Doors Survey and recently the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs named Citrus College as a 20-year Gilman Top Producer for their support of equity, diversity, and accessibility in study abroad for American students, one of 20 colleges to receive that distinction.

Citrus College is located in the foothills of the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains in the city of Glendora, just 26 miles from downtown Los Angeles and 13 miles from the city of Pasadena. Glendora has been listed as one of the safest communities in California and offers its residents a wonderful small town atmosphere. Citrus College is within a short drive to beaches, mountains, Disneyland, Hollywood, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and famous museums and cultural centers for music, drama, and art. So whether students want to lie on the beach, go snowboarding in the mountains, attend a Dodger baseball game or Lakers basketball game, or just hang out with friends at Starbucks, Citrus College is never too far away from fun and adventure.

The campus is also conveniently located just a short walk from restaurants, movie theaters, pharmacies, grocery stores, clothing stores, banks, and apartments. The APU/Citrus College Metro Gold Line Train Station is located across the street from the campus.

The International Students Center is located in SS 164 (end of the south hall on the first floor) in the college's Student Services Building.
