Ha Dinh Thien discovered Citrus while searching for colleges online. She decided on Citrus as both her uncle and cousin recommended it. Additionally, the online representation of the college made Citrus seem like a cozy, welcoming place and a good environment to learn. Ha Dinh Thien loves studying in the US because of its focus on the exploration of knowledge and support of creativity. After Citrus, she plans to transfer to Cal Poly Pomona, complete OPT to gain US work experience, then maybe travel the world. When asked how she would describe Citrus, she said, “Citrus is about more than collecting knowledge, it’s about understanding and applying it.”

Fall 2024 kicked off late last month and we are already in the swing of things in the ISC. Make sure you stay engaged with your classes and check your student email regularly for news and alerts! The ISC hosted its annual Beach Party and so many of you showed up! It was a picturesque day on the beach. Thank you to all who attended.
This month, our insurance partner, AHP Care, is hosting the bi-annual Lunch and Learn in the ISC Lounge. RSVP at the ISC front desk to ensure your spot and stay awhile after to enjoy board games in the lounge. Have a great Fall semester!
New Faculty, Anh Nguyen!
This Fall, Citrus welcomed a new faculty member. That’s not uncommon on its own, but this faculty member is a familiar face on campus. Anh Nguyen, nursing faculty, is a former international student at Citrus College! Anh graduated from Citrus College in 2016, went on to complete her bachelor’s at CSULB, then worked as a nurse while completing a Master of Nursing in Family Practice. Her advanced degree opened the door for her to become a nurse practitioner as well as join the ranks of nursing faculty at a private nursing college for two years before moving to Golden West College where she taught for one year. Now, she has come full circle as a full-time member of the Citrus College nursing faculty!
We are so proud to welcome her back to Citrus!
Citrus College School Visits
Are you in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, or The Philippines? If so, you may have the opportunity to meet with our very own Dean of Enrollment Services, Gerald Sequeira, next month as he travels across Asia meeting with students while attending EducationUSA events in the region.
