Alicia arrived at Citrus with plans to study Cosmetology in the US. She chose Citrus on the recommendation of a friend and our housing partnership with ULV that made finding a place to live quick and easy. She also plans to transfer to ULV after Citrus to pursue her bachelor’s degree.
Regarding her studies, Alicia has a passion for the beauty industry. Naturally, the cosmetology program was her degree of choice with Citrus claiming over 60 years of history teaching the discipline. She is excited to learn and return home with skills and techniques she could only learn here in the US. We are proud to have students like Alicia as part of our community.

Lunar New Year 2026 marks the start of the Year of the Horse. The Horse is associated with energy, determination, and forward momentum. This year symbolizes progress, independence, and the confidence to pursue new goals. For students, the Year of the Horse represents motivation, resilience, and embracing opportunities for growth. As the new year begins, it is a time to reflect on personal goals, renew focus, and move ahead with purpose. The ISC wishes all students a year filled with balance, perseverance, and success in both academic and personal journeys. We will celebrate the new year with mahjong and snacks in the ISC February 17-20.
Taxes: Do You Owe the IRS?
Tax Day is just around the corner! If you worked on campus in 2025, you may need to file taxes. The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax preparation assistance. VITA volunteers are trained and IRS-certified to help with a variety of tax situations. Find your nearest VITA site and get the help you need to file your taxes accurately and on time. Visit irs.gov/vita to locate a nearby site.
