Hina first discovered Citrus College through her school in Japan. Citrus stood out to her for its theatre program and location near the mountains. Hina noted the diverse population at Citrus as an additional deciding factor as she believed that would allow her to improve her English. Hina is also a member of several groups on-campus including Phi Theta Kappa and Alpha Gamma Sigma, both prestigious honor societies among community colleges. After Citrus, Hina wants to transfer and then explore the world. While she is here though, she prefers the cozy laid back atmosphere of the ISC lounge. When asked if she has advice for future students she said, “Go to the events, talk to people, and build community!”
