Duarte High School

Program Description

Duarte High School accepts students under F-1 visa (academic student) status at the high school level (grades 9-12). Students must be under the age of 18 on the first day of attendance and not have previously graduated from a high school program or equivalent. F-1 students can study at Duarte High School for one year or two semesters.

Highlights

Duarte High School offers a variety of advanced placement (AP) classes and rigorous courses, including AP Environmental Science, AP Statistics, AP Studio Art, AP Literature, AP Government, AP U.S. History, AP World History, AP Spanish, Physics 1, Calculus AB/BC and more.

Cost of Attendance

  • Annual tuition fees: $13,000
  • Overseas I-20 delivery fee (if applicable): $80

  • Living expenses, including room, board and transportation: cost varies; $10,000 (estimated)

Citrus College at Duarte High School

Since spring 2009, Duarte High School students can enroll in Citrus College courses, giving students access to university-transferable courses while simultaneously earning high school and college credit. These courses are taught by Citrus College faculty conveniently offered at Duarte High School and are taught free of charge (no fees). Materials, such as textbooks, are also provided free of charge.
