Program Description:
Request your initial I-20 to Citrus College to attend as a full-time student today. This is the DHS/SEVIS document that we can provide you in order to request your F-1 Visa to enter the US as an international student.

This requires students to complete at least 12 units (credits) every Fall and Spring Semester, with at least 9 of those units being either on-campus or hybrid classes. No more than one online class can count towards the 12 unit minimum requirement every fall and spring semester to keep the I-20 in active status. Students starting during the summer short term must complete at least six units (or two classes) that first term, with at least one class being either on-campus or hybrid. After that first term, all continuing Summer and Winter short terms are optional (no winter term start date allowed for initial I-20 applications; the spring semester begins just six weeks after the winter term begins). Spring and Fall semesters do often offer late start classes that do not begin at the start of the semester. However, late start classes are almost entirely online only classes, so they do not meet the on-campus/hybrid requirements, meaning that international students generally cannot apply to start late in the semester.

The International Student Center (ISC) offers a full office service to assist each new student apply successfully, receive the initial I-20 for the F-1 Visa, meet with an international student counselor to plan what classes to take and educational goal, and register in a full course load of classes. The ISC will continue to be of assistance to each student until they are ready to graduate and transfer on to the university level or return home. We also have a student lounge that is open during our ISC office hours for students to meet, study together, and participate in frequent ISC social events.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
